Founded in 1948,
Johnson Heating Supply Company’s initial focus was
providing service and parts for oil burner furnaces.
In 1964 the business was purchased by Henry Kissler,
father of the current President, Doug Kissler. Henry
expanded the business by adding residential heating
and ventilating products for the new construction
and remodeling trades.
Doug Kissler began working for his father in 1972.
He bought the business in 1987 forming a parent
corporation, Air Supply Inc.. Seeing the tremendous
challenge, stability, and growth prospects in the
commercial marketplace, Doug shifted the emphasis of
Johnson Heating Supply Company to pursue this
potential industry. Today the company is diverse,
being a wholesaler of a vast number of products and
a manufacturer’s representative for key product
lines.
While we still want to be thought of as warm and
friendly, we also want it to be known that we have
"grown up" substantially! As you have read, we are
very capable of initiating and responding to any
degree of large scope projects in the HVAC
marketplace. Our new name "Johnson Air Products" is
the most recent in a series of designed changes
which takes us from the 1950’s and prepares us for
the 21st century. We feel this new name better
reflects who we are and where we are going. It
better depicts a broad based, professional company
with powerful capabilities.
